My oval vase starts out as a
simple thrown form. From here I trim and texture the piece on the wheel.
It is then flattened between two boards and given its final oval shape.
I cut both he top and foot. After bisque firing, the surface is sprayed
with three glazes creating a beautiful transition from the ash glaze to
the black glaze.
